Finished the complete cooler/power supply system for the 40W CO2 laser head.
The system is based of a repurposed drinking water cooler. A system monitors water flow, temperature and interlock and turnes off the laser in case of fault.
System status is displayed on a large LCD.

The 40W laser tube for the laser cutter project needed an enclosure.

The laser cooler I am currently building need a safety system that shuts off power for the laser if coolant fail to flow.
Me and a colleague was searching supplier catalogues for a suitable flow sensor but nothing seemed ideal or was too expensive.
At some point I figured that i could design and build a flow sensor quicker than it would take for one to be delivered...

Some time ago a friend and I bought parts to make a 40W laser cutter. We had all the parts except a suitable cooler. Meanwhile I gained access to a commercial laser cutter and the project was shelved.
The other day I found a surplus cooler for drinking water and decided that I might as well use this to finish the project.
